The Souls of Surgery

Working with the UChicago Medicine my team at UChicago Creative and I produced the collaborative project, The Souls of Surgery highlighting the life saving work of the surgery department. The project consisted of over 16 video segments used to show the passion and inspiration of the surgeons. The video series has been referenced online nationally. The University of Chicago Charter School Athletic Field

For 10 years the University of Chicago Charter School’s Woodlawn Campus has needed a full athletic field to complete the vision of the campus on Chicago’s Southside.

A cross functional team from multiple departments called on me to produce the video celebrating this announcement. Working with members of the construction team and numerous school leaders and stakeholders, we produced a video that’s not only about an athletic field but about the affects of the field on the students and the community.

The University of Chicago Campaign: Inquiry & Impact

In 2014, we launched the University of Chicago Campaign: Inquiry and Impact—the most ambitious and comprehensive campaign in University history—with the aim of engaging our full community in support of the University’s aspirations, built upon the foundation of our distinctive and enduring values, and the power and impact of the teaching and research that we do every day. Through the campaign, our community answered these questions powerfully.

To produce this expansive video, I was charged with being in contact with every group across the University, including the national labs while working closely with the director of the department. The final project was used as an evergreen video that is used for communication about the University of Chicago brand and mission for students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Explore Hyde Park: A Historic Chicago Neighborhood

Just south of downtown Chicago lies historic Hyde Park—a neighborhood that is home to the University of Chicago—and so much more. Alongside Lake Michigan and surrounded by parks and iconic cultural institutions, Hyde Park is an eclectic and vibrant area that was recently named one of the 40 coolest neighborhoods in the world by Time Out.

The video is a look into the surrounding community of the University of Chicago and the vibrant people that make up that community. Producing the video meant coordinating and filming throughout Hyde Park while working with the copywriter to craft a script that reflects the true character of the neighborhood.

The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy is a driving force for rigorous thinking and evidence-based approaches to address our world’s most important problems. Now more than ever, the world needs a new generation of leaders dedicated to finding clear-eyed solutions to society’s issues. The Keller Center, built in 2019, became a world-class destination on Chicago's South Side where students, scholars, policymakers, and civic leaders can learn, work, and collaborate in confronting the challenges facing our city and the world.

The video showcases the future of the Harris School and the important work they do in training the future leaders of the world while showcasing their new home.

Inside the Lab

With the University of Chicago being one of the leading research institutions in the world, the number of labs doing innovative research is numerous. Inside the Lab was conceived by the University’s communications department to introduce the general public, students, alumni and potential donors to the cutting edge research being done everyday at the University.

Working with a team of producers, researchers and stakeholders within communications, I oversaw the creation of the serie while also refining the process between the producers and stakeholders to create these segments more efficiently. I also helped write and conceptualize this segment.

Welcome: Toward Common Cause 2021

IOrganized by the Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago in collaboration with more than two dozen exhibition, programmatic, and research partner organizations across Chicago, Toward Common Cause: Art, Social Change, and the MacArthur Fellows Program at 40 is an expansive, multi-venue exhibition taking place throughout 2021.

The venue showcases the MacArthur Fellows Program 40th year anniversary and the cultural venues and artists highlighted during the exhibit. The MacArthur Foundation later used the well received video as an installation in multiple venues around the country.

Partnering for Community Impact

Juan Carlos Ocon, Principal at Benito Juarez Community Academy in Pilsen, is one of 300 local educators working with UChicago SSA’s Network for College Success initiative. Watch the video to see how research, real-time data and coaching have contributed to the school’s success.

The video was produced for the University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement.

Gala 2023: Play, In Three Acts

A video honoring the work of Court Theatre by highlighting the commitments of it’s members and board. The video was unveiled during the 2023 Gala and celebrates the groundbreaking theatre winning a regional Tony Award the previous year.

ORS #nostereotypes campaign

ORS, one of the largest hair and beauty brands in the United States, needed a campaign that showcased the new direction of the company. Known as the #1 leader in ethnic hair care, the brand wanted a fresh direction that spoke to the customer base that loved and trusted the products.

I helped ideate, direct and produce for the global campaign which consisted of over 25 digital film projects including animated broadcast television commercials, a short film, and social media content that celebrated the customers of the product.

The Rustandy Center 10th Year Anniversary

The Rustandy Center is the social impact hub for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. For their 10th anniversary, the center needed a video that looks to the future while celebrating the wonderful results from the alumni of the center.

The video was produced showcasing all of the incredible people and companies that have grown out of the center along with filming new interviews that tell the story of the Rustandy Center’s mission.

Changing Bank Culture: Lessons from the Financial Crisis

A video produced for the Heidrick and Struggles, an executive search and consulting firm recognized for its expertise in executive talent acquisition and leadership development, catering to the needs of corporations worldwide. The video series was directed and produced in New York and highlights thought leaders in finance and business.
